A Lady's Lesson in Scandal - Meredith Duran

Wonderful right up until the very last part, when the story became too melodramatic for me. The transformation of the heroine Nell from the desperate, snarling, spitting guttersnipe to a lady is an amazing piece of writing, and the hero Simon is just fabulous. But the ending, especially the portrayal of the villain, did not quite satisfy me. I was expecting, and would have preferred, an interesting court battle to resolve the conflict with the other sister and her guardian, instead of a really sordid scene with violence and murder.
